A new guide focused on moths and worms found in vineyards is available to grape growers. The guide focuses on moth species that may be confused with European grapevine moth, a recent introduction to San Joaquin Valley viticulture. Growers can follow the guide to distintuish one or more life stages of lepidopteran pests associated with damage to grapevine clusters.
The following is a list of moths that the guide focuses on:
European grapevine moth
Orange tortrix
Light brown apple moth
Omnivorous leafroller
Western avocado leafroller
Raisin moth
Growers can obtain a guide from there local University of California Cooperative Extension office.
